How is A-Z different than bankruptcy?

Which situation would you prefer?

Choice #1

You hire an attorney for $3000. You pay a filing fee in the bankruptcy court and have your petition filed there. It sets forth, in excruciating detail, your financial condition. It is available to your friends, family and neighbors—or anyone else with an internet connection. You then have to go to court and sit in a crowded conference room while you answer a trustee’s questions under oath about your finances and personal life in front of a room full of strangers. The trustee then has a stranger go to your house and take an inventory of everything you own. You are allowed to keep only a small portion of the items. The remainder are loaded in a truck and taken to an auction house. Or even worse, the auctioneer comes to your house and holds a public auction. Some of the money raised, less commissions and the trustee’s compensation is applied to your debt. The bankruptcy court then orders you to leave your home and move to a less expensive, crime-ridden part of town. You are also forced to replace your safe, reliable car with a worn down “beater”. The court even determines how much money you may spend for items such as food, clothing, daycare, and household services. You are trapped in this situation for the next five years.

Choice #2

Contact A-Z. We will evaluate your situation for free and make our recommendations. If it looks like bankruptcy will be a better alternative, we will tell you and refer you to an attorney at no charge. Everything you tell us will be kept in the strictest of confidence. Unless or until you give us permission to contact your creditors, no one will know that you have contacted us. Once you hire A-Z, we will work with your creditors to reach fair settlement and repayment plans. Sure, you may have to make changes in your lifestyle. You may choose to sell some items, take on a second job to earn more money, or move to more affordable housing. However, the choices are up to you. You stay in control of your life.
